Cobbers Close Out MIAC Meet With More Career-Best Marks
Concordia finished off the MIAC Meet by posting more career-best marks and had Tinsley Porter and Leah Enedy narrowly miss out on posting "B" finals qualifying times.
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (2/14/26)---Concordia had a pair of near misses to swim in the evening session on Day 4 of the MIAC Championship Meet.
Senior "Boyd" Tinsley Porter and sophomore Leah Enedy posted Top 21 individual marks and both narrowly making the "B" final to swim in the night session.
Porter came through with a career-best time of 59.17 in the 100-yard freestyle and was less than 4-seconds out of the Top 16. It marked the first in in her Cobber career that she had broken the 1-minute barrier in the event.
Enedy earned her second Top 20 finish of the meet when she posted a time of 2:36.55 in the 200-yard breaststroke and finished in 18th place. Her fishing time was .19 of a second away from qualifying for the "B" final. Her time was 7-second better than any time she recorded this season a 1-second ahead of the mark she posted at last year's conference meet.
Senior Christina Moore capped her Cobber individual event career by touching the wall in 2:31.51 in the 200-yard backstroke in the afternoon prelims. Her time was 3-seconds faster than her mark at last year's meet and was also a season-best time.
Concordia finished off the MIAC Meet by posting another podium finish in a relay event. The quartet of Vylet Frank, Enedy, Moore and Porter clocked a 4:02.00 in the 400-yard freestyle relay and finished in eighth place.
Their time was a season best by 11.97 seconds.
Porter, who swam the anchor leg of the relay, closed out her Cobber swimming account by bettering her afternoon career-best mark. She swam a 57.54 in the relay which was almost 2-seconds faster than her time in the prelims of the 100-yard freestyle.
Overall, the Cobbers finished with 80-percent lifetime best performances at the MIAC Meet and had 100-percent season-best marks over the four days.
