Concordia saved its best for last as they claimed a 6-3 win over Hamline in the final match of the 2024 season. The Cobbers recorded a pair of wins in doubles play and then cruised to four wins in the singles competition to record their first MIAC win of the year.
Concordia finished off its home-and-away non-conference weekend by dropping a 6-1 decision against Division II Minn.-Crookston in a match played in Grand Forks.
Concordia went 4-wheeling in their non-conference match with Northwestern. The Cobbers used the unconventional off-road path to victory as they lost all three doubles matches to start the day, but then rallied to claim five of the six singles matches to prevail by a 5-4 score line.
The outside temperatures matched the play of the Cobbers in their 2024 opener against Crown. It was 45 degrees outside the Owatonna Tennis Center on Feb. 3 and Concordia turned up the heat even further against the Polars. The Cobbers didn’t lose a game in doubles play and only dropped four games in singles competition.
