FARGO, N.D. (10/05/25)---It was throwback day at the Cobbers' match with St. Olaf. Concordia kicked it all the way back to the early 2000's as they beat the Oles 4-3 in a match that was moved to Courts Plus because of the wind and colder weather.
The victory is the first for the Cobbers over St. Olaf since 2002 and breaks a 21-match losing skid against the Oles. The win also avenges a 9-0 loss to St. Olaf last season.
Concordia earned the streak-busting win by claiming the team point in doubles play and then winning splitting the six singles bouts.
The first-year doubles team of Shireen Durrani and Alyssa Sommerfeld rolled to a 6-1 win at No.2 doubles. Annalise Skrade and Ava Lowman sealed the doubles point with a 7-6 (2) victory at No.3 dubs.
Durrani and Skrade would back up their doubles' wins by cruising to straight-set victories in singles play. Durrani won 7-5, 6-3 at No.3 singles and Skrade went 7-5, 6-4 at No.5 singles.
Senior Erin Borchard brought home the team win with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No.4 singles.
Concordia will now have their winter break before finishing off their 2026 schedule in the spring.
