Concordia notched the team point in doubles and then claimed four of the six singles matches to overtake St. Mary's 5-2 and earn its fourth win in the last six matches.
The Cobbers are now 6-7 in all matches and 3-1 in MIAC play. The three league wins are the most for CC since 2012.
The Cardinals fall to 5-4-1 overall and 0-4 against conference opponents.
Concordia used a successful stretch in singles play to earn the win over Saint Mary's.
After dropping the top singles match due to retirement, the Cobbers responded with four straight victories to seize control of the dual.
Alyssa Sommerfeld delivered one of the pivotal moments of the day at No. 2 singles. She was able to outlast her opponent 10-7 in a super‑tiebreaker after splitting the first two sets.
Shireen Durrani followed with a steady 6‑1, 6‑4 win at No. 3 singles and Erin Borchard added a strong performance in the No.4 spot with a 6-3, 6-2.
Both athletes now have six singles wins for the season which is the most by an Cobber in 2026.
Annalise Skrade kept the momentum rolling by putting up a bagel in the second set of her match at No. 5 singles. She recorded a 6-4, 6-0 win and secured another team point for the Cobbers.
Concordia won the team point in doubles play by coming up with victories in the No.2 and No.3 dubs spots.
Sommerfeld and Durrani were flawless in a 6‑0 win at the No. 2 spot and Skrade and Ava Lowman teamed up for a 6‑3 victory at No. 3 which gave CC the team point.
Skrade and Lowman lead the Cobbers in doubles wins this year with six as they evened their overall season record to 6-6.
Concordia will look to keep its roll going when they play St. Benedict on Sunday, Mar. 29 at 11 a.m. in Sartell.
