MOORHEAD, Minn. (4/12/26)---Erin Borchard and her family were honored before the annual Senior Celebration Day for the Cobbers and then Borchard responded with a win in the final home match of her career in Concordia's final home weekend of the season.
Concordia opened the weekend by falling 6-1 to Hamline on Saturday and then lost 5-2 to Macalester on Sunday.
The two defeats bring the Cobbers' overall record to 6-10 on the year. They are now 3-6 in conference play.
Concordia 1, Hamline 6
The lone team point for Concordia against Hamline came at the No.1 singles spot where Tanis Lee claimed a win in the super-set tie-breaker. She fell behind after one set but rallied to win 6-0 in the second set and used that momentum to record a 10-5 victory in the tie breaker.
The victory was Lee's sixth of the season and she has three wins against conference opponents.
The Cobbers also recorded a win in one of the three doubles bouts. The duo of Lee and Alyssa Sommerfeld moved their season record to 3-2 with a decisive 6-2 victory at the No.1 dubs spot.
Borchard and Olivia Walter nearly gave CC the team point for doubles as they lost 7-5 in the No.2 spot.
Concordia 2, Macalester 5
Sunday's match against Macalester started in similar fashion with Concordia taking one of the two doubles bouts but losing the team point. Annalise Skrade and Ava Lowman recorded the win for the Cobbers with a 6-4 victory at No.3 doubles. The win was the tandem's team-leading seventh of the season. The pair have played 15 matches together - the most of any CC doubles team this year.
