Moorhead, Minn. – November 1, 2025 – The Concordia men's hockey team battled hard at home Saturday night but fell 6-1 to Concordia-Wisconsin as the Falcons controlled much of the game.
Caden Triggs scored the Cobbers' lone goal on the power play at 11:36 of the third period, giving Concordia-Moorhead a brief spark. Triggs' goal came shortly after a faceoff and was assisted by Jackson Lucia and Matthew Hard. Despite the effort, the Falcons maintained momentum throughout the contest.
Concordia-Wisconsin opened the scoring in the first period and added multiple goals in each frame, including even-strength tallies from Matt Green, Alex Ochtiwa, and Riley Klugerman. Ochtiwa completed a hat trick, and the Falcons capped the game with an empty-net goal to secure the 6-1 victory.
The Cobbers were hampered by multiple major penalties, all resulting in ejections. Tal Halliday received a five-minute major plus game misconduct for direct contact to the head, and later Caden Triggs was ejected for a similar five-minute major for contact to the head.
Goaltender Philippe De Champlain finished with 25 saves on 30 shots for the Cobbers. Caden Triggs led the team with six shots on goal, while Joseph Harguindeguy added five.
