MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (11/15/25)---Concordia gave up a goal in all three periods against No.3-ranked Augsburg and lost 5-0 in the series finale between the two teams.
The Cobbers trailed 2-0 heading into the third period but a trio of goals in the final 16 minutes of play gave the Auggies the 5-0 win.
Concordia's best period came in the middle frame where they outshot Augsburg 12-9. The Cobbers had five power play chances in the second period but couldn't convert on any as they tried to erase the 2-0 deficit.
Concordia finished the game by going 0-for-6 on the power play. CC is now 1-for-17 on the power play in its first four games of the year.
Augsburg (4-1-0, 2-0-0 MIAC) held a 34-21 advantage in shots on goal for the game.
The Cobbers were led by Allie Emineth, Memphis Mertens, Taylyn Cope and Taylor Severson who all had three shots in the game as the quartet combine for 12 of the team's 21 shots on goal.
First-year goalie Abby Huselid made 29 saves in the game and finished the weekend with 63 stops.
Concordia will face another nationally ranked team next weekend when they host No.5 Gustavus on Friday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 22.
