Concordia squares off with St. Catherine in St. Paul in the semifinals of the MIAC women's soccer playoff on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Outdoor Field and Courts on the campus of St. Catherine.

Concordia battled regionally-ranked St. Catherine to a 1-1 tie at home. The Cobbers earned a point in the MIAC standings for the draw against the second-place Wildcats, who had only lost one game in conference play.
Sophia Robinson’s goal in the sixth minute of the second gave the Cobbers a 2-1 win at Bethel and keep Concordia in the thick of the conference playoff race.
Concordia and Gustavus battled to a 0-0 tie in a match-up between two teams trying to jump into the MIAC playoff picture.
Concordia couldn’t come up with their trademark first-half goal to make St. Benedict chase the game and wound up losing 2-0.
For the second straight conference game, Concordia used an early goal and a lock-down defense to post a 1-0 victory. Senior Sophia Robinson scored in the sixth minute of play, and the Cobbers’ “no goal patrol” held Hamline scoreless in the 1-goal win over the Pipers.
Concordia freshman forward Emma Sheflo (Deerwood, Minn./Brainerd HS) was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week for her 3-goal performance in the Cobbers’ two wins last week.
Like a quality Tupperware container, Concordia’s defense completely sealed off the Macalester offense as the Cobbers posted a 1-0 win over the Scots.
Freshman Emma Sheflo posted the best game of her young college career in helping Concordia beat Dakota Wesleyan 2-1 in a non-conference contest on Monday. Sheflo scored a goal in each half as the Cobbers posted their second win of the season.
Concordia did everything but score in their 1-0 loss against Wis.-Stout. The Cobbers controlled play, held the ball in the Blue Devils’ end for the majority of the game, held an advantage in shots and corners but gave up a counterattack goal in the 74th minute of play and lost by one.
The Cobber defense stepped into the spotlight in the opening weekend of the season. Concordia lost 1-0 at No.15-ranked Loras on Saturday and then posted a 0-0 draw at Wis.-Platteville on Sunday.
