Cobber fans needed their GPS app to keep track of Concordia in the annul Drake Relays/Kip Javrin Open/Al Cassell Classic weekend. Despite being in three different places with different groups, and needing a detailed scorecard to keep track of all the times and distances, the Cobbers were able to come away with a school record and several solid performances as they get closer to the MIAC Championship Meet.

The Concordia men’s track & field team closed out the third and final day of the 2026 MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships with a surge of big-meet performances that lifted the Cobbers into fifth place in the team standings. Behind a championship-record throw from senior Cooper Folkestad, a podium-level relay, and multiple All-MIAC field event finishes, Concordia capped a memorable weekend inside Carleton College’s Recreation Center.

Hegland's High Jump Win Highlights Day 1 At MIAC Meet

Sophomore Eli Hegland led Concordia on the first full day of the MIAC Indoor Championship Meet. Hegland pulled off the upset in the high jump and won the event to give the Cobbers 10 teams points on Friday.

Another Saturday, Another School Record

It was another record-setting Saturday for the Cobbers. For the second consecutive meet, Concordia had a field athlete break a long-standing school record. Tyler Evans cleared the bar in the pole vault at 15-02.75 which broke the old mark set in 2017.

A Stylish Cobber Alumni Open

Concordia kicked off the 2026 portion of its schedule in style as they posted eight first-place finishes at the 86th annual Cobber Alumni Open. CC got four event wins from individual track athletes, captured crowns in both the 4x200-meter and 4x400-meter relays and came away with a pair of field victories.
