Concordia earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team honors and had a trio of student-athletes named to the All-Academic List.
Concordia first-year athlete Genevieve Gruba (Enderlin, N.D.) earned USTFCCCA North All-Region honors for finishing in the Top 5 of the teams in the North Region in an event during the outdoor season.
It was business as usual for the Cobbers on Saturday at the MIAC Indoor Championship Meet as they broke a program record for the third straight day of competition.
The Cobber speedsters led the way on Day 1 at the MIAC Indoor Championship Meet. Concordia received 17 of their 26.50 team points on Friday from athletes in the 60-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles.
The undisputed MIAC Multi-Event Queen continued her reign as Peyton Selle won her third straight conference pentathlon and fifth in the last six indoor and outdoor multi-event competitions.
Sophomore Emily Rengo tied the 20-year-old school record in the 60-meter dash at the UND Rune-Up. All-American Angie Pfeiffer now has company atop the school's all-time list.
Concordia competed in its first mostly Division III multi-team invitational and came away with a third-place team finish at the St. Ben’s Invitational held at St. John’s University.
The times are starting to get faster, the heights are becoming higher and the distances are farther as Concordia starts to go deeper into the indoor season.
Concordia headed north for its first away meet of the 2024 indoor season and came away with eight Top 5 finishes and five all-time Cobber marks at the UND Open.
Concordia had a trio of upper-class athletes and a pair of relay teams lead the team at the season-opening Cobber Open on Saturday. Airial Johnson, Peyton Selle and Brooke Kangas all posted Top 3 finishes to help the Cobbers kick off the 2024 campaign, while the CC 4x200 and 4x400-meter relay teams both recorded event wins.
