Less than a week after officially being named to the MIAC All-Conference Team for the second straight season, Cobber junior Ryan Engel became the sixth Cobber athlete to earn NCAA Division III PING All-Region honors.
Ryan Engel (Jr., Twin Valley, Minn./Ada-Borup HS) was officially named to the MIAC All-Conference Team as announced by the league office of Monday. Engel earns his second straight All-Conference honor and is the 15th player in program history to bae named to the All-MIAC Team in back-to-back seasons.
Concordia saved its best for last on Day 2 at the annual St. John’s Spring Invitational. The Cobbers shook off an opening-round team score of 304 and posted a season-low total of 291 on Sunday to come away with a 2-day total of 595 and a 10th-place finish in the 15-team tournament.
For the second straight season the Cobbers kicked off the spring portion of their schedule by competing in the Howl on the Hill hosted by Neb. Wesleyan at the Hillcrest Country Club in Lincoln, Neb..
The Concordia men’s golf team turned in one of their most dominant performances of the fall season at the 2025 Comets Invitational, led by Ryan Engel’s second consecutive individual title and a deep, consistent lineup that helped the Cobbers post an impressive team total of 589 at Hawley Golf & Country Club.
Concordia junior Ryan Engel (Twin Valley, Minn./Ada- Borup-West HS) was named the MIAC Men’s Golfer of the Week after his championship performance at the Twin Cities Classic this past weekend.
Junior Ryan Engel showed off his finishing kick as he shot a 5-under 68 on the final day of the Twin Cities Classic to race pass the top golfers in the MIAC and win individual medalist honors.
Junior Ryan Engel led Concordia at the MIAC Championship Meet. He earned his second straight MIAC All-Conference honor by finishing in tie for sixth place and helped the Cobbers finish seventh in the final team standings.
Forget the Ryder Cup, it was the Cobbers who were providing all the excitement on the golf course on Saturday. Concordia had all four of its scoring golfers post scores under 78 and is in first place after Day 1 at the MIAC Championship Meet played at Edinburgh GC in Brooklyn Park.
The Concordia men’s golf team faced a strong regional field this past weekend at the Saint John’s Fall Invitational, finishing 10th after two competitive rounds at St. Cloud Country Club and Blackberry Ridge Golf Course.
Junior Ryan Engel paced Concordia in their second meet of the season at the Frank Wigglesworth Blugold Invitational hosted by Wis.-Eau Claire. Engel finished the 2-day tournament with a 3-over total of 145 which helped the Cobbers place 10th in the final team standings in a field of 22 squads.
Concordia improved by nine shots on Day 2 from their rust-filled Day 1 of the season-opening Augsburg Invitational. The Cobbers climbed four team places in the final team standings and finished in a tie for fourth place for the 2-day meet. CC opened the year with a 311 on Saturday but then fired a 302 on Day to climb from eighth to the tie for fourth.
